n connection with the lawful construction or remodeling, as well as the operation of, the Franchised Business at the Approved Location; and (ii) certify in writing to Franchisor that the insurance coverage specified in this Franchise Agreement is in full force and effect, and that all required approvals, clearances, permits and certifications have been obtained. Upon written request, Franchisee must provide to Franchisor additional copies of Franchisee's insurance policies or certificates of insurance and copies of all such approvals, clearances, permits and certifications.
- C. Design Standards Fee and Architectural Requirements. Franchisee shall pay to Franchisor, within five (5) days of Franchisor's invoice, a design standards fee ("Design Standards Fee"), in the amount of One Thousand Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500) to Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500). The Design Standards Fee is for access to Franchisor's then-current "Franchise System Standards and Specifications for the Build-Out, Remodeling or Construction of your Franchised Business" information. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Design Standards Fee. This fee ranges from $1,500 to $2,500, payable within five days of receiving an invoice from My Salon Suite.
The Design Standards Fee grants the franchisee access to My Salon Suite's current standards and specifications for building, remodeling, or constructing their franchised business. My Salon Suite will also provide any previously approved architectural or design plan templates upon the franchisee's request.
The fee is considered fully earned upon payment and is non-refundable under any circumstances. The franchisee is responsible for obtaining any necessary architectural, engineering, and design services at their own expense, using an architectural design firm approved by My Salon Suite. Franchisees must provide both CAD and PDF files of the architectural designs for the build-out of the approved location to My Salon Suite.
