What is a 'Conversion Franchise' for My Salon Suite?
My_Salon_Suite Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
In addition, we may offer existing salon businesses the opportunity to convert to the My Salon Suite Franchise System ("Conversion Franchise"). The terms and conditions of the offer to you if you are a conversion franchisee ("Conversion Franchisee") will differ in certain aspects from New Locations, and you will be required to sign our Conversion Franchise Addendum, which is attached as Exhibit D to this Franchise Disclosure Document.
Unless otherwise stated, any reference in this Franchise Disclosure Document to "Franchised Business" is applicable to a My Salon Suite Business, including a Conversion Franchise. A Franchised Business operates from a single location and facility we approve (the "Approved Location") and provide turnkey salon studio spaces at the Approved Location to salon professionals where these professionals can provide salon services (such as hair cutting and coloring, hair treatments, aestheticians, medi-spa and other beauty related services) to their respective clientele, as well as other authorized products and services.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to My Salon Suite's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Conversion Franchise' is an opportunity extended to existing salon businesses to transition into the My Salon Suite Franchise System. The standard franchise agreement is outlined in Exhibit C of the FDD. However, the terms and conditions for a 'Conversion Franchisee' will differ from those of new My Salon Suite locations.
Specifically, if you are an existing salon owner looking to convert your business, you will be required to sign a 'Conversion Franchise Addendum,' which is included as Exhibit D in the Franchise Disclosure Document. This addendum will outline the specific differences in terms and conditions that apply to your situation as a conversion franchisee compared to someone starting a new My Salon Suite location from scratch.
Regardless of whether a franchisee is operating a standard My Salon Suite business or a Conversion Franchise, the FDD states that any reference to 'Franchised Business' applies to both. All My Salon Suite businesses, including Conversion Franchises, operate from a single, approved location. These locations feature turnkey salon studio spaces that are subleased to salon professionals, who then provide services like hair cutting, coloring, and other beauty treatments to their clients.
