How does My Salon Suite apply franchisee payments?

hisee must obtain its own local telephone number for use in connection with the Franchised Business, which must be listed under the Proprietary Mark "My Salon Suite" or other listing designated by Franchisor when displayed in any traditional or electronic directory. This telephone number must be used exclusively in connection with Franchisee's operation of the Franchised Business. Any telephone listing Franchisee has in any directory must be approved by Franchisor prior to publication. Upon the expiration, transfer, or termination of this Franchise Agreement for any reason, Franchisee must cease all such use of such telephone number(s) and listings, at Franchisor's option, listing(s) and assign same to Franchisor or Franchisor's designee.
- I. Payment of Debts. Franchisee is solely responsible for selecting, retaining, and paying Franchisee's employees; the payment of all invoices for the purchase of goods and services used in connection with operating the Franchised Business; and determining whether, and on what terms, to obtain any financing or credit which Franchisee deems advisable or necessary for the conduct of the Franchised Business. Franchisee agrees to pay all current obligations and liabilities to vendors, lessors, and creditors on a timely basis. Franchisee agrees to indemnify Franchisor if Franchisor is held responsible for debts owed by Franchisee if Franchisor elects to pay any of Franchisee's obligations to preserve the relationship between vendors and franchisees. Franchisee agrees to make prompt payment of all federal, state, and local taxes, including individual and corporate taxes, sales and use taxes, franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, employee withholding taxes, FICA taxes, personal property and real estate taxes arising from Franchisee's operation of the Franchised Business. Franchisee agrees to indemnify Franchisor if Franchisor is held responsible for these taxes.
- J. Compliance with Applicable Laws. Franchisee must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations regarding the operation of the Franchised Business (including, without limitation, all government regulations relating to commercial leasing and hair salon operations and the products and services provided by the Franchised Business, occupational hazards and health, trademark and copyright infringement, consumer protection, trade regulation, worker's compensation, unemployment insurance, withholding and payment of Federal and State income taxes and social security taxes and sales, use and property taxes, and the applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act regarding the construction, design and operation of the Franchised Business). Franchisee must also obtain and maintain all permits, licenses, and registrations required for the lawful operation of the Franchised Business and comply with all health and safety codes.
- K. Trade Secrets and Confidential Information. Franchisee must maintain the confidentiality of all Franchisor's proprietary and Confidential Information as set forth in this Franchise Agreement.

According to the 2025 My Salon Suite Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for various payments related to their business operations. Franchisees are responsible for paying their employees, invoices for goods and services, and any financing or credit they obtain. They must also pay all federal, state, and local taxes, including individual and corporate taxes, sales and use taxes, franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, employee withholding taxes, FICA taxes, personal property, and real estate taxes. Franchisees also agree to indemnify My Salon Suite if My Salon Suite is held responsible for the franchisee's debts or taxes.
In terms of training, if a franchisee wants more than one additional person to participate in My Salon Suite University, they will be required to pay My Salon Suite $2,000 for each additional person. The franchisee is also responsible for all training-related expenses for their additional personnel, including transportation, meals, and salaries during training. If a franchisee or their designated manager fails to complete My Salon Suite University within the prescribed period, My Salon Suite may terminate the Franchise Agreement, and the franchisee will not be entitled to a refund of the Initial Franchise Fee or other expenses incurred with My Salon Suite University.
Furthermore, My Salon Suite may offer additional training programs or refresher courses, which the franchisee and their designated personnel may be required to attend. The franchisee will be required to pay My Salon Suite's training tuition fee for such additional training upon My Salon Suite's request. If the training is conducted at the Approved Location, the franchisee will also be required to pay My Salon Suite's reasonable travel and accommodation expenses. Franchisees are solely responsible for the expenses of themselves, their management, and their employees, including transportation to and from the training site and lodging, meals.
