What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Gold Star's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gold Star provides an initial training program at the retail location for the initial crew of the restaurant. The length of this training program is determined at the sole discretion of Gold Star. The initial crew is required to attend and successfully complete the program to Gold Star's satisfaction before the store opens.
Gold Star does not charge a fee for this initial on-site training program. However, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred by themselves and their employees or representatives during the training, including travel, lodging, and meals.
This on-site training ensures that the initial crew is properly trained in Gold Star's standards and procedures before the restaurant begins operations. This helps to maintain consistency and quality across all Gold Star locations, which is a common practice in the franchise industry.
