What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Gold Star Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is permitted to make delivery orders with their own employees within their protected territory. However, this is conditional on the franchisee adhering to Gold Star's policies and procedures that are in effect for delivery services at that time.
This means that while Gold Star allows franchisees to offer delivery, they must do so in accordance with the standards and guidelines set by the company. These policies and procedures are subject to change, and it is the franchisee's responsibility to stay informed of the current requirements. The FDD does not specify what these policies and procedures are.
Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific policies and procedures related to delivery services during their due diligence. Understanding these requirements is crucial for franchisees who plan to offer delivery, as non-compliance could lead to a breach of the franchise agreement.
