What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Gold Star's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gold Star is not obligated to establish an extranet. However, Gold Star has the right to establish a website or other electronic system for private and secure communications, such as an extranet, between Gold Star, its franchisees, and other relevant parties.
If Gold Star chooses to establish an extranet, franchisees may be required to access and maintain it as specified by Gold Star. This includes downloading and subscribing to third-party software and agreeing to comply with policies concerning the use of the extranet.
This means that while Gold Star franchisees cannot count on an extranet being available, they must be prepared to utilize one if Gold Star decides to implement it. This could involve additional costs and time to learn and maintain the required systems.
