What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Gold Star's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all notices to the franchisee should be in writing and can be delivered in person to an adult working at the retail location. Alternatively, notices can be sent via a reputable overnight delivery service or by regular or certified mail with postage prepaid and return receipt requested. The address to be used is the franchisee's address as it appears on the cover page of the Franchise Agreement.
It's important to note that the franchisee can designate a different address for receiving notices by providing written notice to Gold Star. This flexibility allows the franchisee to manage communications effectively, especially if their business or personal circumstances change during the franchise term.
Following the specified procedures ensures that important communications are properly delivered and documented, which can be crucial for legal and contractual matters. Franchisees should keep a record of all notices sent and received, along with any address changes communicated to Gold Star, to maintain clear communication and avoid potential misunderstandings.
