What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must sell all products and services approved by Floyds 99. This includes retail items such as branded hair care products, caps, T-shirts or jackets, and similar sportswear. Franchisees must adhere to Floyds 99's standards and specifications for these products. Floyds 99 retains the right to approve all products and services offered at the barbershop and can change or supplement the types of authorized products and services without limitation.

This means a prospective Floyds 99 franchisee has limited autonomy over the retail merchandise they can offer. They must carry the specific branded items mandated by Floyds 99, ensuring consistency across all franchise locations. This requirement helps maintain brand uniformity but may limit a franchisee's ability to cater to local market demands or preferences with unique, non-approved items.

Floyds 99 also has the right to sell branded hair care products and merchandise on the Internet directly or through a designee, and can also sell other competing hair care products and merchandise on the Internet. This could create competition between the franchisee's retail sales and Floyds 99's online sales. The franchisee is also not allowed to fulfill "wholesale orders" for hair care products or sell products/services off-premises, by mail order, through catalogs, or the Internet, or transship or reship products.

Overall, while the Floyds 99 franchise provides a structured retail offering, franchisees should be aware of the restrictions on product selection and sales channels. Understanding these limitations is crucial for assessing the potential revenue streams and operational flexibility within the Floyds 99 franchise model.
