What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Floyds 99's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Floyds 99 does not mandate franchisees to have employment or other written agreements with their employees. However, franchisees and their managers, including the Principal Manager and Barbershop managers, must sign a nondisclosure and noncompetition agreement with Floyds 99. This agreement restricts these individuals and their immediate family members.

While Floyds 99 doesn't require written employment agreements, franchisees must ensure their employees comply with operational standards and all laws and regulations affecting Barbershop operations. Employees who do not complete the franchisee's training satisfactorily are not allowed to work at the Floyds 99 Shop. The franchisee is responsible for hiring fully licensed barbers and cosmetologists who meet Floyds 99's experience guidelines.

Franchisees should consider implementing their own employment agreements to protect their business interests and ensure clarity regarding employee responsibilities and expectations. Although Floyds 99 does not mandate these agreements, they can be a valuable tool for managing staff and maintaining consistent standards within the franchise.
