What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, Floyds 99 requires remote access to the franchisee's Point-Of-Sale (POS) system. The FDD states that franchisees must license a specified POS System from Floyds 99 or their designated third-party vendor. This system is designed to manage various aspects of the business, including client management, reservations, sales recording, credit card processing, and inventory monitoring.
Floyds 99 maintains independent access to information concerning sales and inventory through the POS system and controls the type of information provided through it. Furthermore, Floyds 99 reserves the right to require franchisees to purchase and install remote support and access software if these capabilities are not already part of the POS system, and to provide the necessary access information.
This remote access allows Floyds 99 to monitor the franchisee's operations closely and ensure compliance with their standards and specifications. It also enables them to provide support and updates to the POS system as needed. Additionally, franchisees are obligated to use Floyds 99's designated credit card processing service, implement security measures compliant with PCI Security Standards, and purchase security monitoring services and equipment from an approved vendor to protect their network.
