What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Floyds 99's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Local Advertising Allocation is specifically for franchisees to advertise their individual barbershop. This allocation ranges from 1% to 2% of gross sales. While franchisees must spend this minimum average each calendar quarter, they also need to submit a report of expenditures as part of their required financial reporting to Floyds 99. The combination of the National Marketing Contribution and Local Advertising Allocation will not exceed a total of 4% of Gross Sales.

Floyds 99 is particular about how these local advertising funds are spent. The FDD states that the funds must be focused on promoting the shop to consumers. This means that franchisees cannot use these funds for recruitment or advertising on sites like Indeed or Craigslist.

It's also important to note that if Floyds 99 establishes a Regional Advertising Co-op that includes a franchisee's barbershop, the Local Advertising Allocation may be reallocated to the co-op. This means the franchisee would contribute to a larger, regional advertising effort instead of controlling their own local advertising spend. Franchisees should inquire whether a co-op is planned for their region.
