Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We do not generally own the premises for your Barbershop and lease it to you.

You must locate and obtain our approval of the Franchised Location and the lease for your location before you sign it.

No contractual limit exists on the time it takes us to approve or disapprove your proposed location.

However, we typically take 15 to 30 days to approve or disapprove your proposed location, and we will extend your development deadlines when circumstances beyond your reasonable control delay the site selection and approval process. (Sections 5.1, 5.2 and 7.1(b) of the Franchise Agreement and Section 5.3 of the Development Agreement)

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, Floyds 99 does not generally own the premises for the barbershop and lease it to the franchisee. The franchisee is responsible for locating a suitable site for their Floyds 99 shop.

Floyds 99 will assist the franchisee in locating a site by providing their current written criteria for a barbershop location and consulting on possible locations. However, the franchisee must find a location and obtain approval of both the location and the lease from Floyds 99 before signing the lease agreement.

Floyds 99 does not contractually limit the time it takes to approve or disapprove a proposed location, but they typically take 15 to 30 days. The franchisee is responsible for securing the lease, which is a common arrangement in the franchise industry, giving the franchisee more control over their business location.
