What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot transfer their franchise rights to a different location without prior written approval from Floyds 99. The rights granted to the franchisee are specific to the initially approved location.
If a Floyds 99 franchisee wishes to relocate their shop, they must request approval from Floyds 99, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld. This is particularly relevant if the current location is damaged or destroyed. If relocation is approved, the franchisee must adhere to Floyds 99's site selection and construction procedures and pay the then-current relocation fee.
This requirement ensures that all Floyds 99 locations meet the franchisor's standards and maintain brand consistency. It also allows Floyds 99 to manage its brand presence and territorial rights effectively. Franchisees should be aware of these restrictions and the need for franchisor approval before making any changes to their location.
