What is the Floyds 99 franchisee obligated to maintain regarding the Licensed Methods?

According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees acknowledge that Floyds 99 has valuable rights to trade secrets and that they only have the right to use the Licensed Methods in the operation of their shop as governed by the agreement. Franchisees are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of these Licensed Methods.

Floyds 99 franchisees must also operate their shop in compliance with the standards and specifications found in the Operations Manual, which may be modified by Floyds 99. Franchisees must adhere to these standards and specifications throughout the term of the agreement at their own expense. These standards and specifications include those for products and services, the franchised location, equipment, furniture, hair care products, inventory policies, employee attire, supplies, forms, and advertising materials.

Furthermore, franchisees must purchase or obtain equipment, inventory, and services that comply with Floyds 99's standards and specifications, as these are considered part of the Licensed Methods. Franchisees must maintain sufficient inventory of Floyds 99 products and other branded products to meet customer demand and comply with inventory standards in the Operations Manual. They may also be required to purchase Floyds 99 products exclusively from Floyds 99 or its approved suppliers. The franchisee is prohibited from offering or selling any products or services not authorized by Floyds 99 as part of the Licensed Methods.
