What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may use discounts as part of their grand opening promotion, but only with written approval from Floyds 99. The FDD states that franchisees may create their own advertising and promotion materials. However, all advertising and promotion must be in a format approved by Floyds 99 and conducted in a dignified manner, conforming to the brand's standards.
Specifically, franchisees cannot use any advertising or promotional plans, discounts, coupons, or other materials until they have received written approval from Floyds 99. This requirement ensures that all promotional activities align with the brand's overall marketing strategy and maintain a consistent image.
This means a Floyds 99 franchisee needs to submit any proposed grand opening promotions, including discounts, to Floyds 99 for review and approval before implementation. This approval process allows Floyds 99 to maintain control over its brand and ensure that all promotions are in line with its standards and marketing objectives. While this provides brand consistency, it may also limit a franchisee's flexibility in responding quickly to local market conditions or competitive pressures.
