What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee is required to operate their Floyds 99 shop in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. This includes, but is not limited to, barbering and cosmetology regulations, health and public safety orders and regulations, barbering and cosmetology licensing laws, music licensing laws, data security laws, and privacy laws. This obligation ensures that the franchisee maintains a good public image and operates legally within their specific business community.
The franchisee is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses to conduct business at their Floyds 99 shop. Upon request, the franchisee must provide copies of all barbering and cosmetology licenses held by both the franchisee and their employees to Floyds 99. This requirement underscores the franchisee's responsibility for ensuring that they and their staff are properly licensed and compliant with local regulations.
Furthermore, the Franchise Agreement does not explicitly define geographic limits related to law compliance beyond the standard federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The franchisee's obligation to comply with laws extends to the location where they operate their Floyds 99 shop, and they are expected to adhere to all relevant regulations within that area. This means a Floyds 99 franchisee must be aware of and adhere to all laws specific to their shop's location.
