What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their Floyds 99 Shop in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. This includes, but is not limited to, barbering and cosmetology regulations, health and public safety orders and regulations, barbering and cosmetology licensing laws, music licensing laws, data security laws, and privacy laws. This requirement ensures that each Floyds 99 shop maintains a good public image and operates legally.

To ensure compliance, Floyds 99 franchisees are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses to operate their shop. They must also provide copies of all barbering and cosmetology licenses held by the franchisee and their employees to Floyds 99 upon request. Furthermore, franchisees must ensure their employees comply with operational standards and all laws and regulations affecting barbershop operations through proper training.

This requirement has significant implications for prospective franchisees. It means they must be aware of and adhere to a wide range of legal and regulatory requirements, which can vary depending on their location. Failure to comply with these laws and regulations can result in penalties, legal action, and damage to the Floyds 99 brand's reputation. Floyds 99 also requires franchisees to understand and comply with Anti-Terrorism Laws, with any violation constituting grounds for immediate termination of the Franchise Agreement.

Many franchise systems have similar requirements to ensure brand consistency and legal compliance across all locations. Prospective Floyds 99 franchisees should carefully review all applicable laws and regulations and consult with legal counsel to ensure they fully understand their obligations. They should also maintain detailed records of all licenses, permits, and inspections to demonstrate compliance and be prepared to provide these to Floyds 99 upon request.
