- 1 Fees that we charge and must be paid to us or our affiliate. All fees are non-refundable and all are uniformly imposed on franchisees currently acquiring a franchise. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fees charged by Floyds 99 are generally non-refundable and are uniformly imposed on franchisees currently acquiring a franchise. However, Floyds 99 does reserve the right to modify these fees under certain circumstances, such as to resolve disputes or when a franchise is sold to one of their officers or affiliated entities. It is important to note that affiliate-owned Barbershops contribute to the National Marketing Fund but do not pay royalties or other fees under a franchise agreement.
Several fees are detailed in Item 6, including the Royalty fee, the National Marketing Contribution, and the Local Advertising Allocation. The Royalty fee is 6% of Gross Sales, while the National Marketing Contribution is currently 1.5% of Gross Sales but can increase to a maximum of 3.0% with 90 days' notice. The Local Advertising Allocation ranges from 1% to 2% of Gross Sales. These fees are payable on a weekly basis, based on the prior week's Gross Sales. Other fees include a Transfer Fee of $7,500 plus $5,000 for every undeveloped franchise under a Development Agreement, a Relocation Fee of $5,000, and an Extension of Development Schedule fee of $5,000 for the second extension.
Additional fees may arise, such as Trainer Expenses, Additional Site Plan Fees, and Additional Assistance Fees, which vary in amount and are payable as incurred. Interest and late charges also apply, including a $25 late charge and interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the highest rate allowed by law. Costs of Inspection and Audit can also be charged if an audit is conducted due to underreported Gross Sales or failure to submit reports. While most fees are uniformly imposed, it's crucial for prospective franchisees to understand the conditions under which fees may be modified or additional charges may apply, as well as the non-refundable nature of most fees.
