What is the deadline for a Floyds 99 franchisee to execute and deliver the Permit, License and Construction Certification?

According to the 2025 Floyds 99 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must execute and deliver the Permit, License and Construction Certification to Floyds 99 no later than 30 days prior to the date the barbershop begins operating. This certification, in the form attached to the Franchise Agreement as Exhibit V, confirms the franchisee's compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act and other relevant provisions.

This requirement ensures that the Floyds 99 location meets all necessary legal and regulatory standards before opening to the public. It also allows Floyds 99 to verify that the franchisee has obtained all required permits and certifications for lawful construction and operation, including zoning, access, sign, health, and safety requirements, as well as building and other construction permits, licenses to do business, fictitious name registrations, sales tax permits, barbering and cosmetology permits and ratings, and fire clearances.

It is the franchisee's responsibility to obtain all customary contractors' sworn statements and partial and final lien waivers for construction, remodeling, decorating, and equipment installation. Additionally, the franchisee must send a copy of the occupancy certificate to Floyds 99 and maintain copies of all health department, fire department, building department, and other similar state and local agency certifications, licenses, and inspection reports for review by Floyds 99. The franchisee must also deliver a copy of their barbershop license or permit to Floyds 99 within 30 days after opening for business and provide the contact information for the applicable state and local barbering and cosmetology licensing agencies.
