Is there a guarantee of a specific Approved Location for any Extreme Art Studio Business?

According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not guaranteed a specific approved location for their business. While Extreme Art Studio must authorize the location, the franchisee is responsible for selecting it and negotiating the lease or purchase terms. The approved location for the initial Extreme Art Studio Business will be designated in Attachment B. If the location has not been selected and approved when the Franchise Agreement is signed, Attachment B will describe the location in general terms. Once a location is approved, Extreme Art Studio will complete Attachment B-1 to specify the address.

Extreme Art Studio may provide assistance with site selection, evaluation, lease review, and construction project management, but the final decision rests with the franchisee. Extreme Art Studio's approval of a site only means it meets their current criteria and does not constitute a warranty of its suitability. Demographic and other factors can change, affecting the studio's potential. The franchisee is expected to conduct their own independent investigation of the site's suitability.

The Franchise Agreement stipulates that the franchisee and Extreme Art Studio must agree on an approved location within four months of signing the agreement. Failure to do so gives Extreme Art Studio the option to terminate the agreement. Additionally, franchisees cannot enter into a lease until Extreme Art Studio approves the location and the lease terms. The lease must include terms and conditions required by Extreme Art Studio, and the franchisee may be required to sign a personal guarantee.
