1.7 MODIFICATION OF SYSTEM. Because complete and detailed uniformity under many varying conditions might not be possible or practical, you acknowledge that we specifically reserve the right and privilege, as we consider being best, in our sole opinion, to vary System Standards (as defined in Section 4.2) for any franchise owner based upon the peculiarities of any condition that we consider important to that franchise owner's successful operation. We may choose not to authorize similar variations or accommodations to you or other franchise owners.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, Extreme Art Studio retains the right to modify System Standards for any franchise owner based on conditions they deem important for the franchise's success. These modifications are at Extreme Art Studio's sole discretion, and they may choose not to offer similar changes to other franchisees.
This means that while the franchise agreement sets standard operating procedures, Extreme Art Studio can make exceptions or adjustments for individual franchisees if they believe it will improve their business performance. However, this also implies that franchisees cannot demand modifications, and Extreme Art Studio is not obligated to extend the same changes to everyone.
This clause provides Extreme Art Studio with flexibility to adapt the franchise system to different market conditions or franchisee needs, but it also introduces a degree of uncertainty for franchisees, as they cannot be sure whether they will receive the same benefits or accommodations as others. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the typical circumstances under which Extreme Art Studio grants such modifications and what criteria they use to evaluate these requests.
