What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, any insurance policies that a franchisee purchases must be from licensed insurers with a rating of "A/VIII" or higher. This rating is based on the then-current edition of Best Insurance Reports published by A.M. Best Company, or another similar publication or criteria that Extreme Art Studio may designate. The insurance company must also be authorized to conduct business in the state where the Extreme Art Studio Business is located and must be approved by Extreme Art Studio.

This requirement ensures that the franchisee obtains insurance coverage from reputable and financially stable insurers. A high rating from A.M. Best indicates that the insurer has a strong ability to meet its ongoing obligations to policyholders. This protects both the franchisee and Extreme Art Studio from potential financial losses due to underfunded or unreliable insurance coverage.

It is important for prospective Extreme Art Studio franchisees to verify that their chosen insurance providers meet this minimum rating requirement. Failure to do so could result in non-compliance with the franchise agreement and potential penalties. Franchisees should also be aware that Extreme Art Studio reserves the right to approve the insurance company, adding another layer of scrutiny to ensure adequate coverage.
