What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 11, found on page 27, details the initial training program offered to franchisees. For the first Extreme Art Studio Business, the franchisor provides an initial training program to the franchisee (or their operating owner) and their Designated Manager, if applicable, at no cost, provided all individuals attend the training simultaneously. If additional people attend the Initial Training Program, the franchisee will be charged the then-current fee, which is currently $200 per day per additional person.

This means that while the initial training covers two attendees (the franchisee/operating owner and a Designated Manager) without a tuition fee, training a third employee would incur a cost. The franchisee is responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and other personal expenses for any person attending the Initial Training Program.

Item 11 also mentions ongoing training, stating that Extreme Art Studio can require the franchisee (or a managing member, partner, or officer) and/or any managers to attend and successfully complete additional training, including online computer training. The franchisee will be charged the then-current costs (currently $200 per person per day) for any additional training or assistance. The franchisee is also responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred if a representative is sent to provide on-site training or assistance, or for the travel and living expenses of their representatives if the training is not on-site. The franchisee is responsible for the general training of their employees and independent contractors, including hiring, directing, scheduling, and supervising them in the day-to-day operations of the Extreme Art Studio Business.
