Is Extreme Art Studio obligated to form an advisory council?

- 9.6 ADVISORY COUNCIL.
We reserve the right, at any time, to form one or more advisory councils to assist us in improving products and services, the System, and improving marketing and promotion of Extreme Art Studio Businesses.
If formed, the advisory council will include our representatives and franchisee representatives.
Franchisee representatives may be selected by us or may be elected by other franchisees in the System.
The advisory council will be governed by bylaws.
If you participate in any advisory council, you will pay all expenses you incur related to your participation, such as travel, lodging, and meal expenses related to attending council meetings.
If formed, the advisory council will serve in an advisory capacity only.
We reserve the right to form, change, or dissolve any advisory council at any time.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Extreme Art Studio's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Extreme Art Studio is not obligated to form an advisory council. The FDD states that Extreme Art Studio reserves the right, at any time, to form one or more advisory councils to assist them in improving products and services, the System, and improving marketing and promotion of Extreme Art Studio Businesses.
If Extreme Art Studio chooses to form an advisory council, it will include representatives from both Extreme Art Studio and its franchisees. Franchisee representatives may be selected by Extreme Art Studio or elected by other franchisees in the System. The advisory council will be governed by bylaws and will serve in an advisory capacity only.
Franchisees who participate in the advisory council are responsible for covering all expenses related to their participation, including travel, lodging, and meal expenses for attending council meetings. Extreme Art Studio retains the right to form, change, or dissolve any advisory council at any time, indicating that the existence and structure of the council are entirely at the discretion of the franchisor.
