What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to add one or more additional service modules to their Extreme Art Studio business, they must pay a monthly Module Technology Fee of $250. This fee is in addition to all other fees owed under the Franchise Agreement and is paid at the same time and in the same manner as the Technology Fee. The FDD specifies that the Module Technology Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
These additional service modules currently include Craft Academy, Kidscientific, and Little Hands Discovery. The franchisee must also pay standard royalties and brand fund contributions on revenues from the module(s). The franchisee acknowledges that operating the modules will require increased initial and ongoing expenses, such as inventory, equipment, supplies, materials, products, staff training, and signage, some of which must be purchased from Extreme Art Studio's approved vendors.
It is important to note that Extreme Art Studio offers no guarantees regarding the viability of the modules, including potential revenues, income, profits, volume, or success. Additionally, the franchisee will not receive any territorial rights in connection with the modules. Other brands licensed, franchised, and operated by Extreme Art Studio's affiliates, including Kidcreate franchisees, may offer identical curriculum using the same names as the modules, potentially creating competition for the franchisee.
