What is involved in obtaining plan approval for an Extreme Art Studio?

According to Extreme Art Studio's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must submit final construction plans and specifications to the franchisor for approval before beginning construction. The Extreme Art Studio Business must then be constructed in accordance with those approved plans and specifications. Extreme Art Studio also provides assistance with site selection, site evaluation, lease review, and construction project management, as outlined in their Franchise Operations Manual.

Extreme Art Studio will review the franchisee's lease agreement to ensure it contains the required provisions and meets the minimum standards for an Extreme Art Studio Business. The franchisor also provides specifications for all initial and replacement furniture, fixtures, equipment, signs, inventory, and supplies that conform to the standards described in the Franchise Operations Manual. However, Extreme Art Studio does not deliver or assist with the installation of any fixtures, furnishings, equipment, signs, or other supplies.

Although Extreme Art Studio consults with franchisees on their site and requires final authorization of the site, the franchisee has the ultimate responsibility in choosing, obtaining, and developing the site. The franchisee is responsible for conforming the premises to local ordinances and building codes, obtaining the required permits, and constructing, remodeling, and decorating the premises, for which Extreme Art Studio will not provide assistance.
