What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee replaces their Designated Manager at any point during the Franchise Agreement, the replacement must attend and successfully complete the first available Initial Training Program. The franchisee will be charged a training fee for each replacement Designated Manager and will also be responsible for covering the costs of airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals, and other related expenses.
The Initial Training Program for Extreme Art Studio consists of self-study, classroom training, and on-the-job training, totaling approximately 35 hours over five to ten days. This program is offered as needed and is conducted at the designated training facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the franchisee's studio, virtually, or at another location designated by Extreme Art Studio. The franchisee may not begin business until the Designated Manager completes the Initial Training Program to Extreme Art Studio's satisfaction.
If the Designated Manager fails to complete the Initial Training Program satisfactorily, Extreme Art Studio may require the attendee to attend additional training programs at the franchisee's sole expense. Alternatively, Extreme Art Studio may require the franchisee to appoint a new Designated Manager and send that individual to the next available Initial Training Program, also at the franchisee's expense. If the Initial Training Program is not completed to Extreme Art Studio's satisfaction after two attempts, Extreme Art Studio may terminate the Franchise Agreement.
