What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees who purchase an existing Extreme Art Studio business may not receive all of the same pre-opening services as new franchisees. The FDD states that Extreme Art Studio does not provide these services to renewal franchisees and may not provide all of the services to franchisees purchasing existing businesses or additional locations under a Standard 2 or Standard 3 Franchise agreement.

This means that if you are considering buying an existing Extreme Art Studio franchise, you should not automatically assume you will receive the full suite of support services typically offered to new franchisees. These services include site selection assistance, lease review, construction project management, specifications for furniture and equipment, schematic design review, pre-opening procedures, inventory ordering assistance, access to the Franchise Operations Manual, a list of approved suppliers, initial training, on-site training, promotional material templates, and general pre-opening consultation.

As a prospective franchisee, it is important to clarify with Extreme Art Studio which specific pre-opening services will be provided when purchasing an existing franchise. Understanding the level of support you will receive is crucial for a smooth transition and successful operation of the business. You should discuss this in detail with the franchisor and document the agreed-upon services in writing to avoid any misunderstandings later on.
