What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Extreme Art Studio's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain designated computer system components and ensure that their computer system, as modified, functions properly. This includes any additional or replacement proprietary software. Extreme Art Studio or its affiliates may require franchisees to sign a license agreement to regulate the use of such software or technology.
This requirement means that franchisees must stay current with technology updates and modifications mandated by Extreme Art Studio. The franchisee is responsible for the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the computer system, as well as ensuring continuous connectivity. The franchisee bears the consequences if the computer system is not properly maintained and upgraded.
Extreme Art Studio also reserves the right to access all information generated by the computer system, including customer, price maintenance, and payroll data. Franchisees must provide access to WordPress, Class Registration Software, Database Management Software, and cameras used in their Extreme Art Studio Business. This level of access is typical in franchise systems to ensure brand consistency and operational oversight.
Prospective franchisees should be prepared for ongoing technology expenses and the need to adapt to evolving system standards. They should inquire about the typical frequency and cost of computer system updates to better understand the financial implications.
