Is the franchisee guaranteed their top choice of location for their Extreme Art Studio?

According to the 2024 Extreme Art Studio Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not guaranteed their top choice of location for their Extreme Art Studio business. While Extreme Art Studio may offer assistance, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for selecting the location and negotiating the lease or purchase terms. The franchisor must authorize the specific location, referred to as the "Approved Location."

The Approved Location for the initial Extreme Art Studio Business will be designated in Attachment B of the Franchise Agreement. If the location has not been selected and approved when the agreement is signed, Attachment B will describe the location in general terms. Once a location is approved, Extreme Art Studio will complete Attachment B-1 or Attachment E-1 to specify the address, which then becomes the Approved Location.

The franchisee and Extreme Art Studio must agree on a location within four months of signing the Franchise Agreement. If an agreement is not reached within this timeframe, Extreme Art Studio has the option to terminate the agreement. This highlights the importance of proactive site selection and communication between the franchisee and franchisor to ensure timely approval and avoid potential termination of the franchise agreement.
