Is the Monthly Membership Fee for Eos Worldwide refundable?

Eos_Worldwide Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The Monthly Membership Fee is not refundable under any circumstances. If you sign up for a Boot Camp and then fail to attend for any reason, the Monthly Membership Fee will begin on the first (1st) day of the month of that scheduled Boot Camp notwithstanding any failed attendance or ultimate attendance and completion of a subsequent Boot Camp. We may waive or discount Monthly Membership Fees from time to time based on circumstances we feel are warranted, including for those franchisees that may be materially impacted by circumstances beyond their reasonable control (e.g., Acts of God that may limit ability to operate in a region). Otherwise, Monthly Membership Fees will be uniform for all franchisees based on their tier.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Eos Worldwide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Monthly Membership Fee is not refundable under any circumstances. This fee, which ranges from $1,395 to $1,695 depending on the franchisee's tier, is a fixed monthly payment in place of a typical royalty fee. Franchisees begin paying this fee the month they are scheduled to attend Boot Camp.

Even if a franchisee signs up for a Boot Camp but fails to attend, the Monthly Membership Fee commences on the first day of the month of the scheduled Boot Camp. This applies regardless of whether the franchisee attends a subsequent Boot Camp. The FDD specifies that Eos Worldwide may, at its discretion, waive or discount Monthly Membership Fees under certain warranted circumstances, such as events outside the franchisee's control that significantly impact their ability to operate.

Prospective Eos Worldwide franchisees should be aware that the Monthly Membership Fee is a recurring, non-refundable expense. It's crucial to plan for this cost, especially considering that it starts when a franchisee is scheduled for Boot Camp, which may be before they begin generating revenue. Understanding the conditions under which Eos Worldwide might waive or discount these fees is also important for financial planning and risk management.

This policy is fairly standard in the franchise industry, where ongoing fees are rarely refundable, as they cover the franchisor's continuous support and resources provided to the franchisee. However, the specific conditions and potential for waivers should be carefully considered by anyone evaluating an Eos Worldwide franchise.
