Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Your grant to own and operate a Franchise begins on the Effective Date and ends on the last day of the calendar month following the fifth (5th) anniversary of the Effective Date (the "Initial Term"), unless sooner terminated pursuant to this Agreement. The word "Term" means this Initial Term and any Renewal Term (as defined below) or extension of that time period.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Eos Worldwide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial term of the franchise agreement begins on the Effective Date and concludes on the last day of the calendar month following the fifth anniversary of the Effective Date. This is referred to as the "Initial Term," unless the agreement is terminated earlier according to its terms.

For a prospective Eos Worldwide franchisee, this means the franchise agreement lasts for five years, plus a partial month. The "Effective Date" is defined in the franchise agreement as the date the agreement is signed by Eos Worldwide. The end date is then calculated from this Effective Date. For example, if the Effective Date was March 15, 2025, the initial term would end on the last day of April 2030.

It is important to note that the franchise agreement can be terminated earlier than the end of the Initial Term under certain conditions, as outlined elsewhere in the agreement. The franchisee also has the option to renew the agreement for two additional terms of three years each, provided certain conditions are met, such as being in good standing with Eos Worldwide and executing the then-current form of the franchise agreement.
