Eos_Worldwide Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Your grant to own and operate a Franchise begins on the Effective Date and ends on the last day of the calendar month following the fifth (5th) anniversary of the Effective Date (the "Initial Term"), unless sooner terminated pursuant to this Agreement.
THIS FRANCHISE AGREEMENT (this "Agreement"), between EOS Worldwide Franchising, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us", "our", or "Franchisor"), and ("you", "your", or "Franchisee"), is effective as of the date of our signature below (the "Effective Date"). This Agreement will not be effective until it has been countersigned by us and delivered to you, and not until you have paid the Initial Franchise Fee and the Boot Camp Fee (each as described below).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Eos Worldwide Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise term begins on the "Effective Date" and lasts until the end of the calendar month following the fifth anniversary of that date, unless the agreement is terminated earlier. The "Effective Date" is defined as the date Eos Worldwide Franchising, LLC signs the Franchise Agreement. However, the agreement is not effective until Eos Worldwide countersigns and delivers the agreement to the franchisee, and the franchisee pays the Initial Franchise Fee and the Boot Camp Fee.
For a prospective Eos Worldwide franchisee, this means the clock on their initial five-year term doesn't start ticking until all the necessary signatures and payments are completed. The term officially begins on the "Effective Date," which is the date Eos Worldwide signs the agreement. The end date is calculated by adding five years to the Effective Date and extending it to the end of that calendar month.
It's important to note that the franchise agreement can be terminated before the end of the initial term under certain conditions, which are detailed elsewhere in the agreement. Also, the franchisee has the option to renew the agreement for two additional terms of three years each, provided they meet certain conditions outlined in the FDD.
