What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Eos Worldwide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees should consult with their insurance agents, brokers, legal counsel, and/or other insurance advisors to discuss their insurance needs on an ongoing basis. This recommendation comes in the context of Eos Worldwide setting minimum insurance requirements.
The FDD specifies that franchisees must obtain and maintain certain insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability and Professional (Errors & Omissions) Liability insurance, with limits no less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence and in the aggregate. While Eos Worldwide sets these minimums, the document explicitly advises franchisees to seek expert advice to determine appropriate coverage levels for their specific circumstances.
This approach is typical in franchising, where franchisors set minimum standards but leave it to franchisees to tailor their insurance to local conditions and individual risk profiles. By recommending consultation with professionals, Eos Worldwide acknowledges that insurance needs can vary and that franchisees should make informed decisions based on expert guidance. This ensures that franchisees are adequately protected beyond the basic requirements set by the franchisor.
