What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Eos Worldwide Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase or lease computer equipment, including hardware and software specified by Eos Worldwide, for their Franchised Business. The FDD states that Eos Worldwide currently requires franchisees to have a computer (desktop or laptop) able to run the most current version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Firefox Internet browser to view training, report sessions, facilitate virtual sessions as needed, and attend virtual meetings. The computers should be less than three years old and have the most current version of its operating system, such as MacOS (Sequoia) or Windows, and be up to date with all system and software patches. While the necessary programs should function on Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge, Eos Worldwide will only assist franchisees in troubleshooting potential issues related to the software when operating on Google Chrome.

The FDD also states that franchisees must upgrade the Computer System, and/or obtain service and support, as Eos Worldwide requires or as is necessary because of technological developments or events. There are no contractual limitations on the frequency and cost of the franchisee's obligation to obtain maintenance, updates or upgrades. Eos Worldwide has no obligation to reimburse franchisees for any of these costs. Unless Eos Worldwide otherwise agrees in writing, neither they nor any of their affiliates will provide franchisees with any maintenance repairs, updates or upgrades for their computer system.

The 2025 Eos Worldwide FDD does not explicitly state whether Eos Worldwide can change the approved suppliers for the computer system. However, Item 11 states that Eos Worldwide will provide franchisees with information regarding sources for supplies, signs, and other products and services for their Franchised Business, including a list of Approved Suppliers, as applicable. It is important to note that Eos Worldwide does not deliver or install any of these items. Given that Eos Worldwide specifies the computer equipment, including hardware and software, that franchisees must use, it is implied that Eos Worldwide has the authority to modify the list of approved suppliers for these computer systems. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Eos Worldwide regarding their policies on approved suppliers and any potential changes to these suppliers.
