What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for franchises purchased in Washington, the location for arbitration or mediation will be in the state of Washington. However, the specific site can be either a place mutually agreed upon by both parties at the time of the arbitration or mediation, or it can be determined by the arbitrator or mediator during the proceedings.

This means that if a Dryject franchisee in Washington has a dispute that goes to arbitration or mediation, the proceedings will occur within the state unless both the franchisee and Dryject agree to an alternative location. This provides some protection to the franchisee, as it avoids the potential burden and expense of having to travel to a different state for dispute resolution.

Additionally, the FDD states that if litigation is not precluded by the franchise agreement, a franchisee in Washington may bring an action or proceeding arising out of or in connection with the sale of franchises, or a violation of the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, in Washington. This offers further legal recourse within the state for Dryject franchisees in Washington.
