What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to DryJect's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if DryJect establishes an intranet, a franchisee has the privilege to use it. However, this use is contingent upon strict compliance with DryJect's System Standards, protocols, and restrictions, which are collectively referred to as "Franchisor Protocols."
The Franchisor Protocols may address various aspects of intranet usage, including but not limited to: the prohibition of abusive, slanderous, or offensive language in electronic communications; restrictions on communications among franchisees that could encourage breaches of franchise agreements; the requirement for confidential treatment of materials transmitted via the intranet; adherence to password protocols and other security precautions; the grounds and procedures for DryJect to suspend or revoke a franchisee's access to the intranet; and a privacy policy governing DryJect's access to and use of electronic communications posted by franchisees.
The FDD emphasizes that DryJect, as the administrator of the intranet, has the technical capability to access and view any communication posted on the intranet. Furthermore, all communications and the intranet facility itself become the property of DryJect, without any claims of privacy or privilege from the franchisee or any other party. This means that franchisees must be aware that their activity on the intranet is not private and is subject to DryJect's oversight and control.
