What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryject or its agents have the right to inspect a franchise to ensure the proper use of licensed rights. This includes observing how the franchisee offers products and services and conducts operations.
Dryject or its agents can confer with the franchisee's employees and customers, and inspect the premises, vehicles, equipment, and related merchandise. This also extends to trademarked product lines, other merchandise, equipment, supplies, or inventory. The purpose of these inspections is to evaluate whether the franchisee's premises, vehicles, equipment, merchandise, services, and operations meet Dryject's quality control provisions and performance standards.
The FDD clarifies that these evaluations and inspections are intended to preserve the validity and integrity of the licensed rights. However, Dryject states that these inspections are not meant to control the day-to-day operations of the business or assume responsibility for the franchisee's obligations under the franchise agreement. This distinction is important, as it emphasizes that the franchisee retains control over daily operations while Dryject maintains oversight to ensure brand standards are met.
