What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is an independent contractor solely responsible for the day-to-day affairs, management, operations, and financial control of the franchised business. This explicitly includes responsibility for their employees and their treatment. Dryject establishes that the franchisee is an independent contractor, meaning they are not responsible for the franchisee's employees.
This arrangement means that Dryject franchisees have significant autonomy in running their business, but also bear the full responsibility for all aspects of its operation. This includes ensuring the safety and security of both employees and patrons. Franchisees will need to implement their own safety protocols, security measures, and training programs to comply with local regulations and protect their business.
Dryject may offer guidelines or recommendations in the Operations Manual, but the ultimate responsibility rests with the franchisee. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this independent contractor status and ensure they have the resources and expertise to manage these responsibilities effectively. This differs from some franchise systems where the franchisor provides more direct oversight or support in areas like employee training or safety compliance.
