What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee fails to initiate or complete required maintenance after receiving notice, Dryject has the right to enter the premises and perform the maintenance on the franchisee's behalf. In such cases, the franchisee is responsible for paying the entire cost of the maintenance upon demand from Dryject.
This means that while Dryject may step in to ensure necessary maintenance is completed, the financial burden falls on the franchisee. This could occur if the franchisee neglects required upkeep or is unable to manage it promptly. The franchisee's obligation to maintain the property is suspended only during specific events like war, civil disturbance, natural disasters, or other events beyond their control.
This clause ensures that Dryject maintains brand standards and protects the integrity of the franchise system, but it also places a financial responsibility on the franchisee to ensure they proactively manage maintenance needs. Failing to do so could result in Dryject performing the work and billing the franchisee for the entire expense. Franchisees should be aware of this potential cost and factor it into their operational budget and planning.
