Does Dryject require franchisees to purchase or lease equipment from approved suppliers?

Before you open your Franchised Business, we will:

Identify the equipment, inventory, materials and supplies necessary for the Franchised Business to begin operations, including the minimum standards and specifications that must be satisfied and the approved suppliers from whom these items may be purchased or leased (including us and our affiliates). - C. Designate certain proprietary equipment and products (e.g. DryJect® machines and certain parts), at your expense, manufactured by our affiliates. (FA, § 7 & 15)
During the operation of the Franchised Business, we will:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, prior to opening their franchised business, Dryject will identify the equipment, inventory, materials, and supplies necessary to begin operations. This includes setting minimum standards and specifications, as well as designating approved suppliers from whom these items may be purchased or leased. These approved suppliers may include Dryject and its affiliates. Dryject also designates certain proprietary equipment and products, such as DryJect® machines and certain parts, which franchisees must purchase at their own expense from Dryject's affiliates.
During the operation of the franchised business, Dryject will provide updated lists of approved items of equipment, fixtures, inventory, and supplies, including brand names and/or standards and specifications, as well as updated lists of approved suppliers for those items.
In practical terms, this means a prospective Dryject franchisee is required to purchase or lease equipment and supplies from suppliers approved by Dryject, which may include Dryject itself or its affiliates. This ensures consistency and quality across all Dryject franchise locations. Franchisees should be aware that they may be required to purchase certain proprietary equipment exclusively from Dryject's affiliates, potentially impacting their initial investment and ongoing operational costs.
