Does Dryject require franchisees to attend a national or regional conference?

Conference. We may, at our option, from time to time but not more than once every year conduct a national or regional Conference. The duration, curriculum and location of Conference will be determined by us in our sole and exclusive discretion. You are required to attend the Conference, and to pay all of your expenses incurred in connection with attending the Conference including transportation cost, meals, lodging and living expenses. We shall have the right to charge you a reasonable Conference Registration Fee as further described in Item 6, Note 10.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryject may hold a national or regional conference once per year, but it is not required. If Dryject decides to hold a conference, franchisees are required to attend. The franchisor determines the duration, curriculum, and location of the conference.
Franchisees are responsible for covering all expenses related to attending the conference, including transportation, meals, lodging, and other living expenses. In addition to these costs, Dryject has the right to charge a reasonable conference registration fee, as detailed in Item 6, Note 10 of the FDD.
This policy means that while a Dryject franchisee isn't guaranteed to incur conference costs every year, they must budget for potential mandatory attendance and associated fees. This is fairly standard in franchising, as conferences can be a valuable opportunity for training, networking, and updates from the franchisor, but the franchisee bears the financial burden.
