What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to have a computer to manage their business and communicate with Dryject and customers. While Dryject does not specify a particular brand, type, components, nor function of the computer hardware or software, they estimate the cost of computer hardware and software to be between $400 and $1,600. Franchisees must also subscribe to business class high-speed internet.
Dryject retains the right to mandate updates or upgrades to a franchisee's computer hardware and/or software at the franchisee's expense and within a timeframe determined by Dryject. The FDD states that Dryject has no limitations on their ability to do so. Dryject also has the right to remotely access information and data maintained on the computer system.
It is important to note that Dryject states they have no history on which to base an estimate of hardware and software update and upgrade costs. This means a prospective franchisee should be prepared for potentially unpredictable expenses related to keeping their computer systems in compliance with Dryject's evolving standards. This is a notable risk factor to consider, as these costs could impact profitability.
