What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their Dryject business in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations. This encompasses a wide array of legal requirements, including zoning, access, signage, government regulations related to occupational hazards and health, fire safety, consumer protection, equal opportunity, trade regulation, workers' compensation, labor and employment, unemployment insurance, licenses to do business, sales tax permits, withholding and payment of taxes, fictitious name filings and registrations, privacy laws, data protection or security laws, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance.
This requirement places a significant responsibility on the franchisee to stay informed about and adhere to all relevant legal standards. Franchisees are also responsible for securing and maintaining all required licenses, permits, and certificates necessary for the proper operation of the Dryject business. While franchisees can contest tax liabilities through proper legal procedures, they must prevent any tax sale or seizure of the business's property.
This obligation is a standard practice in franchising, ensuring that all franchise locations operate legally and ethically. Failure to comply with these laws and regulations could result in penalties, legal action, or even the termination of the franchise agreement. Therefore, prospective Dryject franchisees should be prepared to invest time and resources into understanding and meeting these legal requirements.
