What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a Marketing Fund Fee to support the brand's marketing and advertising efforts. The fee is determined by the franchisee's total number of months in operation, encompassing both the initial term and any renewals.
For the first three months (1-3) as a Dryject franchisee, the Marketing Fund Fee is $0 per month. From months four to twelve (4-12), the fee increases to $100.00 per month. During months thirteen to twenty-four (13-24), the fee is $200.00 per month. It then rises to $300.00 per month for months twenty-five to thirty-six (25-36). Finally, from month thirty-seven (37) onwards, the Marketing Fund Fee is $500.00 per month.
In addition to the tiered schedule based on the number of months as a franchisee, Dryject specifies that the Marketing Fund Fee will be the greater of the amounts calculated from the schedule or two percent (2%) of the monthly Gross Revenues generated by the franchisee. This ensures that as a franchisee's revenue grows, the Marketing Fund contributions also increase proportionally. These contributions are due on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of the month or the date designated in the Operations Manual.
Failure to pay the Marketing Fund Fees when due may result in interest charges of eighteen percent (18%) per year, or the maximum contract rate of interest permitted by governing law, whichever is less. The franchisee is also responsible for covering any expenses Dryject incurs while collecting overdue payments, including attorney's fees and collection agency fees. This underscores the importance of timely payments to avoid additional financial burdens.
