What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dryject FDD, whether you will be charged a fee for manager training depends on whether the training is optional or required. Dryject may offer additional training programs, workshops, and seminars to franchisees and may require franchisees or their employees to attend. If Dryject requires attendance, the program will be provided at no cost to you, but you will be responsible for travel, hotel, and other expenses for each person attending. However, for any training program where your attendance is optional, Dryject may require the payment of a training fee, the amount of which they will set.
Dryject also specifies who must satisfy the conditions for admission to and graduation from their Initial Training Program. This includes the franchisee (if an individual), and at Dryject's option, anyone actively involved in the management or operation of your franchised business, including a chief operating officer or managing member. Key Employees and anyone owning or controlling 20% or more interest in the franchisee entity may also be required to attend at Dryject's option.
Any person designated to attend the training program will be identified in Addendum B to the Franchise Agreement and must complete the Initial Training Program to Dryject's satisfaction. Failure to do so may result in an extension of the training program, and failure to complete all mandatory training sessions constitutes a breach of the agreement. The Initial Training Program lasts approximately four days and must be completed before the scheduled opening of the Franchised Business.
