What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally prohibited from copying Confidential Information without specific authorization from Dryject. The FDD defines "Confidential Information" broadly to include all information, data, techniques, and know-how designated or treated as confidential by Dryject, explicitly including the operations manual.

The franchise agreement mandates that franchisees maintain all Confidential Information as confidential both during and after the term of the agreement. This restriction extends to not disclosing or using any Confidential Information unless Dryject specifically authorizes it. Furthermore, any information, data, techniques, and know-how developed or assembled by the franchisee or their employees or agents during the franchise term that relates to the Dryject system is also considered part of the Confidential Information.

This stringent confidentiality requirement is typical in franchising to protect the franchisor's proprietary methods and trade secrets. Prospective Dryject franchisees should understand that they are entrusted with sensitive information critical to the Dryject system and must take precautions to safeguard it. Unauthorized copying or use of this information could lead to legal repercussions and termination of the franchise agreement.
