What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a new franchisee must purchase the Base Equipment Package from Dryject or its affiliate. The Base Equipment Package consists of a minimum of three model 4820 DryJect® machines and certain spare parts. The purchase price for this package is $166,500, which is nonrefundable and uniform for all franchise owners.
This requirement ensures that all Dryject franchisees use the same proprietary equipment, maintaining consistency and quality standards across the franchise system. Dryject's affiliate, DryJect Inc. Acquisition Corporation, manufactures certain proprietary equipment that franchisees must purchase. This affiliate is owned by Dryject's principal, John Paddock. For the period ending December 31, 2024, DryJect, Inc. Acquisition Corporation realized $1,138,069 in revenues from the sales of required purchases, which accounted for 46% of its total revenues of $2,482,406.
This arrangement means that a significant portion of Dryject's affiliate's revenue comes directly from the sale of required equipment to franchisees. It also highlights the importance of this equipment to the Dryject business model. A prospective franchisee should consider this substantial upfront investment and the ongoing requirement to purchase proprietary equipment and supplies from Dryject or its affiliate when evaluating the financial viability of the franchise.
