What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally not obligated to purchase items from a newly designated and approved supplier, with some exceptions. The FDD states that even if Dryject designates and approves a new supplier, franchisees are not required to purchase from them unless otherwise noted.
However, before opening their Dryject franchised business, franchisees must purchase certain products, supplies, and equipment from designated suppliers. They must also purchase proprietary equipment, including at least three model 4820 DryJect® machines and spare parts, directly from Dryject or its affiliate, DryJect, Inc. After commencing business operations, franchisees can purchase non-proprietary items from any approved supplier or vendor, except for the aforementioned proprietary products.
Dryject reserves the right to establish or revise standards and specifications and to designate new or additional approved suppliers. Franchisees can request approval for unapproved suppliers, a process that may involve a review of product specifications, facility inspections, and product testing, with the franchisee potentially bearing the costs of inspection and testing. Dryject updates its list of approved suppliers periodically and issues these updates to franchisees.
