What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dryject Franchise Disclosure Document, the document summarizes provisions of the Franchise Agreement. The document also states that in Wisconsin, the franchise offering must include a copy of all proposed agreements relating to the franchise, and that the disclosure document contains a summary of certain material provisions of the franchise agreement, which should be referred to for an understanding of all rights and obligations of both Dryject and the franchisee. This indicates that there is a franchise agreement.
Prospective franchisees in Wisconsin should pay close attention to the actual franchise agreement, as the FDD itself only summarizes certain provisions. They should also be aware of their rights and obligations under both the franchise agreement and the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law, as the latter may supersede certain provisions of the franchise agreement regarding renewal and termination.
Furthermore, the addenda for Maryland, Minnesota, and New York reference amendments or additional information pertaining to specific items within the Franchise Disclosure Document, implying the existence of a standard franchise agreement that these addenda modify or supplement. These addenda address state-specific regulations and franchisee protections, such as deferring initial fees until pre-opening obligations are met or ensuring indemnification against claims related to the use of Dryject's trademarks.
